The Rookies Strike Again

So, since we are super intense and crazy some of the rookies from the last San Francisco meetup decided to plan another meetup.  not alot of people came because the are buttheads are were like Tavi isn't going to be there and stupid non excuses like that (or they were just busy).  But the super hardcore 12 of us faced the cold of the city and met with each other
Black button up, DIY floral skirt, brown wedges, clock purse, black cardigan, feminist brooch
so this new skirt that i made the night before rookie in pure anticipation for the event is my new pride an joy. it was super easy to make, yet looks super cool.  i just love the fabric.  It looks very grandma chic.

super fancy white mocha.

yes, i know, i'm just one of those jerks that takes pictures of my food.  But fear not, its not mine (and it's just so darn pretty).  After we got the whole group together and we were pretty sure no one else was going to show up, we walked over to the Cafe near Delores Park and girl ganged it in there and pretty much took over the entire shop.
it's rookie, we must thrift.

once we were sure we had caused enough havoc we walked over to community thrift on Valencia.
record picking, showing our vast knowledge of music.
so many books
book picking

i want this in my room

i love seeing inspiration for things to decorate my new room in cool places.
new people to meet

I would have to say, my favorite part of rookie (besides everything about it) is the fact that it helps you meet so many new friends that have the same ideas.  Rookie is so much more than an online magazine, Rookie is a lifestyle.
walking around
capitalism is over,  you want it

i think this would have to be my favorite mural in this alleyway

Hanne (purple sweater, mushroom skirt)

Hanne of course because we go everywhere together, and her outfit today was super cute.

it's a cult.

have to say that we defanitley look like a cult.  we have some good shots of us worshiping the great god Tavi.. we definatley got some weird looks, but what fun is a day if you don't get looked at like your a complete idiot.
yay new friends

This meet up was a diffrent feel that the last one, but in a great way.  I think it was a success and now that one has worked out we need to make them happen all the time.

Starring Role

h&m chiffon dress with collar, old black cardigan, feminist brooch, payless oxford shoes

so today was my first day of Sophomore year of highschool, and let me just tell you again how much i just love SOTA. I went shopping for so long ust to find a dress as beautiful as this one. i love it so much.  and as every girl knows the first day of school is like a fashion show.  The first day sets the tone for the rest of the year.  you have to show what you want to accomplish that year.  this year my outfit says I feel confident with myself and that i want to be in control, it says that I'm ready to hit the ground running and show all these bitches whats up.
night before planning

so because im a doof, i sat for hours trying to pick out my outfit the night before.  i wonder if it is this hard for guys?
rookie feminist Brooch

I thought by wearing this i would scare away the freshman, but little did i know there were some super hip girls that loved it.  i think ill just have to have some cool freshman friends this year.

collar and my "vampy" lips.

i appologize for some of the pictures being sideways.  oh and now that school has started again i will make sure to take pictures of fashionable people at my school.

I'm not your manic pixie dream girl

MANIC PIXIE DREAM GIRL-  A Manic Pixie Dream Girl or MPDG, is a term coined by film critic Nathan Rabin after seeing Elizabethtown. It refers to "that bubbly, shallow cinematic creature that exists solely in the fevered imaginations of sensitive writer-directors to teach broodingly soulful young men to embrace life and its infinite mysteries and adventures." A pretty, outgoing, whacky female romantic lead whose sole purpose is to help broody male characters lighten up and enjoy their lives.

ha. Ok, can i just tell you right now, I am everything but a manic pixie dream girl.  At times i am self centered, i will admit that.  I think that girls should be strong and not have to always be looking out for a guy or trying to protect him or help him figure out the happiness in his life while she just sits around (WHOO go feminism)

this fantastic Marina and the Diamonds poster that we found on the streets of San Francisco.
You know what i am.  I am a primadonna.  ya know i can't help that i need it all

my wonderful fashionable friend Hanne in a jacket from Sway/White collared shirt/diy studded high-waisted shorts

looking really awkward.  but i am wearing a bike week shirt from Forever 21/diy skirt (that i drew my inspiration from Marlena from Rookie)/ Bright green knock-off Doc's

these bad boys were hiding in the back of my closet and i am super happy i found them.  my new project is to glitter these up so they can sparkle and be that much more annoying

so when Hanne took this picture i wasn't really ready for it but i ended up looking slightly cute.  kindy derpy but whateva.

we awkwardly snuck over into her neighbors yard to take this picture.  haha hope she didn't notice.

so many shades of my hair that i never noticed.  Shall i say fifty shades of lavender

so i have noticed with this picture that without my glasses i look very young.  and if you were wondering i really do need my glasses, they are not just a hip fashion statement.

oh gurl! her hair is super vibrant and I'm  jealous because she has kept it like that for 3 weeks.  its crazy.
its funny seeing my trio of friends together because you can tell that we are all together because we all have crazy dyed hair.  me: purple  Hanne: pink   Lizzie: red tips

that collar

fabulous clock purse that actually tells the time.  i got this from my aunts best friend.  i mean how can you just give away something as great as this.
The good news is, with this purse i can never be late.

Moving Sucks

ok, moving dosen't really suck.  Just all the work does.  i apologize for being away for so long, but i have had literally NO time to do anything on the interwebs.  well here is my moving diary for he first week.

so my room is as empty as i can ever remember it.

Ok, so if you think its a pain in the ass to put stuff up on your Walls, try taking it down.  my walls were completely filled with everything that i ever had, and i had to take it all down, that alone took a couple hours.
Then once we had moved all the stuff from our house in Concord, we had to drive an hour and a half to our new house in the city and then we had to unload everything from the truck.

All through the week we had to go back a forth to the old house to do touch ups.

As i was painting my room white again.  all i could think of was Mel Brooks, The Producers.
for the time being before i get my sewing room set up i have my makeshift sewing table from empty boxes haha.

Ya, that's right you heard it.  I get a sewing room in this new house.
finally my big furniture is in place.

so i don't know about you, but for me a room is really your room when you start decorating it, so i got on that as soon as i could.  i didn't do all of it because i plan to have my friends over to have a decorating party.  Gotta love my friends.

a super cool bookshelf that used to be my grandpas

whooo.  walk in closet

so i would have to say my favorite part of this new house is my snazzy new walk in closet.  its so great.  This picture doesn't  even begin to describe it.

mini bookshelf.

so this is a bookshelf/shoe place that's in my closet that is built into the wall so i have declared it to be my secret reading room where no one can bother me. MUHAHAHHA. (ok maybe I'm overdoing it haha)

so i promise i will do something fashion oriented soon, because i have been making some pretty cool stuff lately.  XOXO
